Roasted Acorn Squash Recipe Brown Sugar
Prick insides all over with a fork.
Roasted acorn squash recipe brown sugar. Roast for 30 minutes and then remove the foil and roast for another 30 minutes or until the squash is tender and caramelized. Spread butter on the inside and sprinkle brown sugar over the butter. Continue to bake until flesh is easily pierced with the tip of a paring knife 25 to 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees f 200 degrees c. Sprinkle the brown sugar mixture inside of each squash half. Step 2 slice acorn squash into halves removing insides and seeds.
Baste the butter mixture onto acorn squash there will be a puddle inside the acorn squash. Place the squash halves cut side up in a roasting pan. Basting every 15 minutes with the brown sugar butter.
Rub the squash cavities and the cut sides of the squash with the butter mixture and place them on a baking sheet cut side up. Pour the butter over the squash using your hands to rub all over the squash. Divide the butter in half and spread inside each half of the squash.
Rub a half tablespoon of butter into the insides of each half. 3 add butter salt brown sugar maple syrup. Bake for 45 minutes total.
Roasting it with a little butter cinnamon and brown sugar is the easiest way to prepare it. Remove the pan from the oven at the 15 30 and 45 minute marks. Then combine the brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and season with salt to taste.
