Recipe Vodka Tomato Sauce
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
Recipe vodka tomato sauce. Season to taste with salt and pepper. About 1 minute before you transfer pasta to sauce add vodka to tomato sauce and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Finish sauce by adding chopped fresh basil and salt and pepper to taste.
Drain and transfer to a large bowl. Increase heat and add cream vodka and chilli flakes. Step 2 in large skillet heat oil over moderate heat.
Working carefully stir in vodka scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Boil for 2 minutes or until thickened to sauce consistency. Add penne and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente.
Stir in tomato paste and red pepper flakes until fragrant about 1 minute. This processes infuses the spiciness of the red pepper flakes into the base of the sauce and also sweetens the onions. Increase heat and add cream vodka and red pepper flakes.
Season to taste with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes or until thickened to sauce consistency.
Sautee diced onions and garlic in butter on medium heat for 7 minutes. Stir in crush tomatoes and sugar. To assemble the sauce first you sauté white onion and garlic in olive oil.
