Recipes Chicken Gnocchi Soup
This warm bowl of goodness features roasted chicken potato gnocchi carrots celery and spinach.
Recipes chicken gnocchi soup. Add spinach and cook for another 1 2 minutes until spinach is wilted. Return the chicken and stir in the fresh gnocchi. Meanwhile in a small bowl whisk the flour and almond milk until smooth and fully incorporated.
Add the flour and stir for about one minute to form a roux. Increase the temperature to medium high and saute celery garlic and onion until soft. Slowly add chicken broth and half and half and mix until the soup starts to thicken.
Allow the gnocchi to cook for 2 3 minutes or until they start to float to the surface. Remove and keep warm. Allow to cook for 8 10 minutes or until chicken is fully cooked.
Gently boil for 4 minutes then turn down to a simmer for 10 minutes. Cook onion celery garlic and carrots in the hot oil until onion is translucent about 5 minutes. In a dutch oven brown chicken in 2 tablespoons butter.
Heat to boiling and add cornstarch dissolved in 1 2 tbsp water at this point if you want a thicker soup. Heat to boiling then add gnocchi. Pour in the chicken broth and add in the nutmeg thyme paprika salt and pepper.
Add the thyme carrots spinach chicken and gnocchi. Add the flour to create a roux and cook for another minute. Stir in cubed chicken and chicken broth.
