Recipe with ground beef potatoes and cheese. Bake uncovered in the center of the oven at 375 f for 45 minutes. Alternately layer the potatoes soup mixture and meat in a 11x7 inch 2 quart baking dish. Cook and crumble ground beef until done or browned.
Drain mix the soup garlic powder pepper stock and cream in a bowl layer half of the potatoes in the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Brown ground beef and onion. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
If you like the cheese to form a bubbly brown crust broil the casserole on high for an additional 2 minutes. Do not drain fat off after cooking. Sprinkle remaining 1 cup cheese over potatoes.
Pour half the soup mixture over the potatoes. Sprinkle with the cheese and bake ground beef casserole 15 to 20 minutes longer or until browned and potatoes are tender. Top with cheddar cheese and continue baking until cheese is melted.
