Recipe Crock Pot Lamb
Continue pushing garlic and rosemary into the remaining incisions.
Recipe crock pot lamb. Mix lemon juice honey mustard garlic vinegar rosemary thyme sea salt and pepper together in a bowl until a thick paste forms. Make a paste with the olive oil herbs and spices and rub all over the lamb roast. Sprinkle with salt pepper thyme or rosemary and garlic.
Using a small sharp knife make small deep incisions all over the leg of lamb. Drizzle over oil then rub on both sides. Pour beef stock into slow cooker add sprig of rosemary if using.
Gently place into the slow cooker. Massage paste into the lamb using your hands. Put the lamb roast on top cover and cook on low all day.
Cook on low without removing the cover for 5 hours. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or until tender. Take a piece of garlic and a few rosemary leaves and push them into an incision in the lamb.
In a medium bowl mix together a 1 2 cup of red wine 1 2 cup beef broth 1 can tomatoes 1 teaspoon oregano 1 teaspoon basil 4 sprigs thyme 1 teaspoon allspice and 1 bay leaf. Drizzle a small amount of olive oil over the lamb leg. Pour mixture over the vegetables and lamb shanks.
Pour wine into a slow cooker. Take the roast and cut little holes in it and stuff the garlic slivers into the holes. If you using vegetables cut them and place in the slow cooker.
