Recipe Butternut Squash Grilled
Transfer your buttered squash to the grill grates and cook flipping every 5 minutes until the squash is browned and crispy on the outside and tender when bent slightly.
Recipe butternut squash grilled. Brush both sides butternut squash with olive oil. Add squash and boil until almost tender yet still firm 5 to 8 minutes. In a small bowl combine the oil garlic salt and pepper.
Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat and lightly oil the grate. In a medium bowl soak 5 feet of kitchen twine in water. Preheat a charcoal grill to medium high heat.
Remove the grilled squash to your serving platter. To prevent the sugar from burning rotate the squash pieces as needed from hot to cool spots on the grill. From the heat for 4 5 minutes on each side or until tender.
Remove the foil and place the squash on a serving platter. Brush over squash slices. Meanwhile set the squash halves cut sides up making sure to keep corresponding halves.
Preheat the grill to medium or 400f 450f. Garnish the squash and serve hot. Wrap each butternut squash half in aluminum foil and place face down on the grates of the grill.
Place the squash on an oiled grate and grill uncovered and turning often until tender and golden brown 8 to 12 minutes depending on the thickness. Grill squash covered over medium heat or broil 4 in. Step 3 cook on the pre heated grill flipping as needed until softened and browned 15 to 20 minutes.
