Recipe Butternut Squash Gratin
1 medium onion thinly sliced.
Recipe butternut squash gratin. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in the mustard and season well. Cut into 1 2 inch thick slices.
Meanwhile put the garlic and half the sage in a saucepan add the cream and milk and heat gently not allowing the mixture to boil for 5 mins. Arrange with slices overlapping slightly in bottom of baking dish. Cook until the onions soften and turn golden brown about 10 minutes.
3 tablespoons all purpose flour. Warm cream in a saucepan over low heat. In a medium microwave safe bowl melt butter.
Add the butternut squash and brown sugar. Teaspoon white or black pepper. Spray a medium oven safe casserole dish with cooking spray.
Add the butternut squash and brown sugar. Toss with garlic and 3 4 teaspoon salt. In a greased 13x9 in.
Pour over squash mixture. Stir in the onions and garlic. Grease a 22x33cm 9x13 in baking dish.
