Recipe Brussel Sprouts Miso
In a larger bowl add the brussels sprouts along with the miso mixture.
Recipe brussel sprouts miso. Spread evenly onto a baking sheet sprouts cut side down. Reduce heat to medium and cook about 8 minutes until crisp tender and beginning to brown in places. Combine the olive oil honey miso paste and red pepper flakes in a microwave safe bowl.
Preheat the oven to gas 4 180 c fan 160 c. Cook for 4 5 minutes until tender. Add the brussels sprouts and toss until evenly coated.
In a separate small mixing bowl add the miso glaze ingredients and stir whisk to combine. Place in a large bowl. Line a large baking sheet with foil.
In a small bowl whisk together olive oil miso and vinegar until smooth. Add the brussels sprouts to the pan and toss to coat. Carefully place the brussels sprouts in a single layer over the base of the frying pan cut side down and fry without touching them until the cut side of the sprouts is well browned even blackened in parts.
Preheat oven to 400 f with a rack in upper third of oven. Microwave for 30 seconds just until the honey is softened enough to mix easily with the miso and oil. Trim the bottoms off the brussels sprouts and cut in half.
Remove from the heat and add the miso paste mix well. Cut off root ends and slice in half for small to medium sized sprouts slice into thirds for large sprouts. Using a melon baller carefully remove inner leaves to form.
