Pan fried asparagus recipe. Melt butter in a skillet over medium high heat. Cook in the pan for about 5 10 minutes turning the asparagus regularly or until the asparagus has charred slightly and it cooked through. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Place the asparagus spears in the skillet. Add another tablespoon of olive oil in a large cast iron pan or skillet that the asparagus can fit in and heat on medium high. Add asparagus and cook for 10 minutes turning asparagus to ensure even cooking.
