Yellow Cake Rum Recipe
During the last 15 minutes of baking make the rum glaze.
Yellow cake rum recipe. Sprinkle the brown sugar and chopped pecans in the bottom of the pan. Preheat oven to 325 degrees f 165 degrees c. In a saucepan combine butter 1 4 cup water and 1 cup sugar.
To make the glaze. Preheat oven to 325ยบ f and thoroughly grease a bundt pan. In a large bowl whisk together the cake mix pudding mix eggs water.
Grease and flour a 10 inch tube or bundt pan. Pour batter over the nuts in the pan. Bring to a boil over medium heat and continue to boil for 5 minutes stirring constantly.
This will serve as the topping of the cake when the cake is turned out of the pan. Sprinkle the pecans in the bottom of the pan. Turn batter out into prepared pan smoothing the top lightly with a spatula.
Grease a 9 inch bundt cake pan scatter the nuts evenly into the bottom of the pan and set aside. With a mixer mix together the cake mix pudding mix eggs vegetable oil water and rum. Spray bundt pan well with non stick cooking spray making sure to get all the nooks and crannies.
Stir in water and sugar. Remove from heat and stir in 1 2 cup rum. Add cake mix and pudding mix to the bowl of an electric mixer.
