Cooking Chicken Breast Quickly
There are two easy options to remedy this.
Cooking chicken breast quickly. In a skillet that s large enough to hold all of the chicken without overlapping heat the olive oil and butter on medium heat. Add your chicken to the pan and cook for 5 6 minutes. Check the inside is cooked by poking in the end of a sharp knife the juices should run clear.
Heat the oil in a frying pan then add the chicken breasts skin side down if they have skin and cook for 2 3 minutes or until browned. Use a meat thermometer to check the temperature of your meat. When it is quite hot add the olive oil or butter if using.
Heat one tablespoon of oil in a non stick skillet over medium high heat. Add the chicken breasts and partially cover the pan with a lid leaving about a 1 2 1 crack. Transfer the cooked chicken breasts to a plate and loosely cover with foil.
Cook the chicken breasts over medium heat for 1 minute without moving. Moving the chicken around can cause the breasts to stick to the pan and rip so resist fiddling with the meat while it s cooking. Add in 10 minutes to preheat and 1 minute for some simple seasonings and you can not only whip up a quick meal but also get the veggies steamed and the rice all fluffy while the chicken cooks.
Turn heat down if chicken begins to burn. Then turn over cover and cook on the other side for 7 8 minutes or until cooked through. You can also use 50 50 oil and butter for better flavor.
Heat a frying pan large enough to fit the chicken in a single layer over medium high heat. Chicken breasts are always thicker at one end and this unevenness means that the thicker end will just take longer to cook. Flip the fillets onto the other side lightly brush again with oil if you wish and bake for a further 8 to 10 minutes or until cooked.
